FAQs

How do payments work with Stripe?

TWICE supports Stripe Connect out of the box. Turn on payments in Settings and your store gets a Stripe account through the TWICE platform, with no separate Stripe contract. For each payment, Stripe takes its processing fee and TWICE takes its 1.5% commission, and the rest is paid out to your bank account. Volume and Enterprise customers get lower custom rates, and other payment providers are available on request, so talk to sales.

What counts as an API token?

Every request your own systems or integrations make to the TWICE Admin API uses one token. Bulk endpoints use one token per batch rather than per item, so syncing 500 stock items in one call costs one token. Workflows use tokens when they call the API. Using the TWICE admin or your TWICE online store never uses tokens.

Are allowances shared between locations?

Yes. Included API tokens and storage are added up across all your locations, so a busy flagship store can use the allowance of a quieter one.

How is an SMS counted?

One SMS holds up to 160 characters. Longer messages are split into several SMS, and each one is charged separately. Emoji and some special characters lower the limit to 70 characters per SMS.

How do I pay for usage?

Usage is prepaid. Add a usage budget under Settings, and each month your included allowances are used first. Anything beyond them, such as extra API tokens, SMS, authentications or storage, is drawn from the budget. Turn on auto top-up so a busy month never interrupts your messages or check-ins. You can follow your balance and usage at any time in Settings.

How do Enterprise rates work?

Enterprise customers get a negotiated payment commission and negotiated transactional rates, based on volume, number of locations and commitment. Talk to sales for a quote.
