Configure settings

Step 2 of migrating from TWICE 1.0. Work through Settings in the order below — the order they appear in the product. Open every view, including the ones you expect to skip.

Currency, timezone and tax settings apply to every order and cannot be corrected retrospectively. A receipt already issued keeps the tax it was issued with. Set these before any order exists.

Organization

Security	Sign-in methods, security restriction bypass.	How your team signs in.

Taxes	Tax rates and settings.	Tax on every order. A later change does not correct receipts already issued.

Decide explicitly whether your prices include or exclude tax, and tell your bookkeeper what order numbering you chose. Both are hard to change once you are trading.

Emails	System and custom templates, translations, attachments, test sends and status.	Order confirmations and team notifications.
Translations & Languages	Supported languages, coverage, translation editor, system wording overrides.	Customer-facing wording in every language you sell in.
Listing templates	What a template is, create and edit, using one.	Speed of creating listings. Not required to trade.
File Manager	Upload, organise and find files.	Images and files used by listings, emails and documents.
Attributes & Tags	Attributes, attribute groups, tags.	The custom fields that model your inventory, catalog, orders and customers.
Archived assets	Browse by type, unarchive, delete.	Where archived listings and stock items sit. Should be empty now; use it to archive test orders before you go live.

Read the wording of every customer-facing email and document out loud before you approve it. These are the parts of TWICE your customers actually see, and migrated defaults are rarely what you would write.

Done when

Every settings view above has been opened, and either configured or confirmed as not needed.
Account details, currency and timezone are correct.
Tax rates are set, and you have confirmed whether prices include or exclude tax.
Every location you sell from exists, with its hours and fulfilment rules.
Order numbering is decided, and your bookkeeper knows.
The wording of every customer-facing email and document has been read.
Terms and policies are published and appear at checkout.
