Connect the account
Connect card payments under Settings → Payments. Connect your existing Stripe account, or create a new one at stripe.com. Add offline methods if you accept them — pay on collection, invoice, and so on. These appear at checkout but are handled and reconciled manually.Prove a live payment before you switch
Take a payment on a real card in live mode, then refund it. A test-mode payment proves the integration is wired up. It does not prove your account is verified, that payouts will arrive, or that the money reaches the right bank account. Only a real transaction does that, and it is cheap to run. Do the same for deposits if you take them: place a hold on a real card and release it.Done when
- Payments are connected and verification is complete.
- Every payment method you use is enabled and appears at checkout.
- Deposits are configured on the checkouts that take them, and a hold and a release have been tested.
- A live-mode payment has been taken and refunded.
- You know which 1.0 deposits are still open and where to release them.
