Open in TWICE Admin
settings/archived-assets
Prerequisites
Have ready before you start:
- The stock item archived. Only an archived stock item can be deleted. See Archive stock items.
- The stock item’s name or code, to find it among the archived ones.
The walkthrough
1
Open Archived assets
With more than one location, choose All locations in the location selector in the top-left corner first, because the archived stock items follow it. Then open Settings → Archived assets. The page lists every kind of record you can archive, in cards grouped by area.
2
Open the archived stock items
Click Stock items under Inventory. A full-screen view opens with a table of archived stock items.
3
Select the stock item
Enter its name or code in “Search item name or SKU”, then select the checkbox at the start of its row. Edit, Unarchive and Delete show above the table, with Delete in red. Clicking the row itself opens the stock item instead.
4
Choose Delete
Click Delete above the table. The Delete item dialog opens and reads “This action cannot be undone.”
5
Delete the stock item
Click Delete in the dialog. The dialog closes, and the stock item is gone from the table.
How do I know it worked?
- The stock item is gone from the archived stock items, and no stock item list in the admin shows it.
- Its codes are free. You can give them to another stock item.
Troubleshooting / common pitfalls
The stock item is not in the archived list
The stock item is not in the archived list
It is not archived yet, or the location selector shows another location. Archive it first, or choose All locations. See Archiving and Deletion.
A code is taken by a stock item you archived
A code is taken by a stock item you archived
An archived stock item keeps its codes, so no other stock item can take them. Deleting it frees them. See Archiving and Deletion.
You need a deleted stock item back
You need a deleted stock item back
Deleting cannot be undone from the admin. Unarchive anything you might need again rather than deleting it. See Archiving and Deletion.
