Your business, locations and taxes
Your legal details print on receipts. Your currency cannot sensibly change once you have orders. Every location you sell from has to exist before stock can live in it — including the warehouse that never sees a customer. Decide up front whether your prices include tax or add it. That one is genuinely hard to reverse.A guide for setting up your business, locations and taxes is in progress. Until it lands, the reference pages cover the same ground: Account details, General, Locations and Taxes.
Attributes, before you import
Attributes are the fields that describe your stock and listings — size, colour, frame height, condition grade. They are worth designing deliberately, once, because they become how you filter, group and report for the rest of the account’s life, and because your import maps onto them. This is the step most often skipped and most expensive to retrofit.A guide for designing your attributes is in progress. Until it lands, see Attributes & Tags and the attributes concept.
Your team
Work out who needs an admin account and at what level. Roles are not just a security setting — they decide which areas a person sees at all, so getting them right now is what makes training in step 7 short.A guide for getting your team into TWICE is in progress. Until it lands, see Users & Roles, Security and the visible areas concept.
