Set up your business, locations and taxes

Work through four Settings views in order: Account details, General, Locations, Taxes. Create every location you sell from, including the warehouse that never sees a customer. Stock cannot live in a location that does not exist. Design your attributes before you import

Design your attributes before the import runs. Attributes are the fields that describe your stock and listings: size, colour, frame height, condition grade. Your import maps onto them, and they become how you filter, group and report for the life of the account. Do not skip this step and retrofit later. It is the one most often skipped and the most expensive to undo. Get your team in

Decide who needs an admin account and at what level, then invite them under Settings → Users & Roles. Set each role deliberately. A role decides which areas a person sees at all, so getting it right now keeps training short. Check that more than one person can reach billing, payments and user management. A single administrator is a single point of failure. Follow Get your team into TWICE for choosing a role, sending the invite, and the trap where hiding a sidebar section does not remove the data behind it. Agree who owns admin access at the same time. If your team signs in with Google or Microsoft accounts, half of that answer sits in your own directory rather than in TWICE Commerce.
