# Launch TWICE

> The launch path: nine steps from an empty account to your first weeks live, each one a checklist of guides.

This is the order to do things in. Each step names what to do and how you know it is done; the guides underneath it do the walking through.

Work the steps in order, with one exception: **[Connect payments](/docs/guides/launch/make-it-sellable) is second because it waits on someone else.** Verification is outside your control, and it is the item most likely to move your launch date. Start it, then carry on down the list while it clears.

If you are moving from TWICE 1.0 rather than starting fresh, follow [Migrating from TWICE 1.0](/docs/guides/migration/overview) instead — it covers the same ground with a live system on the other side of it.

Otherwise: The early ones cost nothing to get right and are expensive to change later: locations, taxes and attributes sit underneath everything you import afterwards. The first step is not configuration at all, it is the handful of decisions that set the rest.

If you are launching with us on a Custom or Enterprise package, your TWICE contact runs some of these steps for you and will tell you which. The path is the same either way, so it is also the list of what has been done on your behalf.

## What this path is not

It is not a reference. Its guides are written for the launch job and stop there — enough to get you live, not everything the product can do. For the full detail on any one area, and for the day-to-day tasks that come after launch, see **Working in TWICE** in the sidebar.

Where a launch guide is still being written, the step says so and points at the reference pages that cover the same ground in the meantime.
